Our full review
The Crafthouse by Fortessa cocktail smoker kit brings a layer of theatrical craft to home bartending, letting anyone infuse drinks with real wood smoke without needing a torch collection or professional bar setup. The kit centers on a handheld smoking device paired with natural wood chips, designed specifically for cocktails rather than large-format food smoking, so the proportions, airflow, and burn time are tuned to fill a glass or cloche with fragrant smoke in seconds. Crafthouse built its reputation on clean, modern bar tools, and this kit carries that same design sensibility, favoring a compact, fuss-free silhouette over the bulky, industrial look of typical smoking guns.
Inside the box, users get the smoking chamber itself along with a selection of wood chips, often including varieties like applewood, oak, or hickory, chosen to complement different spirits and mixers rather than overpower them. The kit is built for tabletop use directly over a finished cocktail, whiskey neat, or even a garnish like a citrus twist, letting the smoke settle into the glass before it's served. Because the components are sized for drinkware rather than large cuts of meat, the whole process is fast: light the chips, capture the smoke under a glass cloche or directly in the vessel, and let the aroma work into the liquid for a customizable, restaurant-style presentation at home.
What sets this smoker kit apart in the bar accessories space is its focus on ritual and presentation as much as flavor. The visual drama of smoke curling inside a rocks glass elevates a simple Old Fashioned or Negroni into a multisensory moment, making it a favorite for hosts who want their cocktail hour to feel elevated without requiring bartending expertise. Compact enough to store in a bar cart drawer yet substantial enough to feel like a genuine tool rather than a novelty gadget, the Crafthouse by Fortessa cocktail smoker kit fits neatly into the brand's broader catalog of jiggers, shakers, and glassware aimed at people who take their at-home cocktail craft seriously.
What buyers say
Game changer for home bartending
I've used this at three dinner parties now and my guests are always impressed. The smoked old fashioned is next level with this kit.
Great but batteries not included
Wish the batteries came with it since you need them immediately, but otherwise this smoker gun works perfectly and the cloche looks elegant on the bar cart.
Fun addition to my cocktail setup
Takes a little practice to get the smoke density right, but once you do it's incredibly satisfying. Great gift for cocktail enthusiasts.
Cloche cracked after light use
Love the concept and the smoked flavor it adds, but my glass dome chipped after just a few weeks. Wish it was more durable.
